Meet Debra

Mortgage Advisor, Deb Grosner, was born in Bridgeport, CT and grew up with her brother and sister in the town of Redding. She attended Joel Barlow High School where she played field hockey for their varsity squad. Deb went on to graduate from Florida State University with her bachelor’s degree in business and marketing. While at school, she was recruited and excelled selling books door to door which not only paid for her next year, but also earned her a free trip to Cancun, Mexico. That work experience would lead to her first postgraduate career opportunity with GE Capital in their collections department and two additional promotions within the company. Deb learned the power of positivity and the value of exceeding client expectations which she later applied to her first job in the mortgage industry as a Loan Processor with Principal Residential Mortgage in 2001.

Because of her commitment to accountability, it was not long before Deb was promoted to the lock desk. She was later recruited by AmNet to service their lock desk as well, and over the course of several years, worked for a variety of banks and lenders such as Carrington Mortgage and Key Bank. Deb sights her compassion for her clients and her tenacity for getting things done as her competitive advantage, and in addition to years of operations experience, she also earned her license as a mortgage loan officer. “The mortgage industry has its own language, and the process can be quite confusing for many borrowers. I put myself in their shoes, making sure every question has answers; while taking the time to explain every single step to create a better informed and confident borrower.”

Deb became part of the Shelton, CT team of Province Mortgage Associates because of their family-like culture, outstanding reputation, and commitment to a “customer first” mindset that mimics her own philosophy. Regional Sales Manager, Pete Barna shares, “Deb plays an integral part of our Shelton Team, keeping us all on point while servicing her own clients as well.” Deb loves baking for her friends and family, as well as long hikes, and hitting the beach with her husband who worked at the same restaurant as her when they were teenagers. When Deb is not creating happy homeowners you can find her at the gym, as living a healthy lifestyle is truly important to her, so she can take better care of the people she loves. Deb and her husband reside in Shelton, CT, but whenever possible they enjoy vacationing on the beaches of Cape Cod or Block Island.
