Meet Conor

Mortgage Advisor, Conor Mackey was born and raised just outside of Boston with his two younger brothers. Prior to relocating to Rhode Island, he lived in Boston’s historic North End for six years which amplified his love for the city, embedding in him a strong sense of “Boston pride.” After attending the University of Tampa, Conor’s first job was with First Republic Bank where he spent the bulk of his professional career in a host of different lending-related roles, learning the value of efficiency as an essential quality for success. He has lived vicariously through his dad who has been a part of the mortgage industry for north of 40 years, with Conor now closing in on his first decade of experience in all aspects of the business.

Conor prides himself on having worked with people from all walks of life. From CRA lending to student loan refinancing and Private Equity capital call financing, his professional journey has exposed him to just about every demographic, income bracket, and social status one could imagine. “With company reviews so easily accessible online, I quickly learned that ‘everybody knows someone’, and in an industry built so heavily on word-of-mouth referrals, I learned to treat every client as if he or she is a Fortune 500 CEO.” In 2026, Conor made his move to Province Mortgage Associates for one primary reason: they care! He read how they’ve been voted amongst the Best Places to Work in Rhode Island countless times which has become a testament to the employee experience, and their stellar online presence, especially Google reviews, is a direct testament to how people feel about their brand. He observed how the staff not only cares deeply about the well-being of their clients, but also for their fellow teammates noting, “The brand’s accolades obviously speak for themselves, however to me, having an in-person mentor, whose focus is on leading & coaching, and not production is imperative to success in this industry.”

Although he grew up in the Boston area, Conor resides in Charlestown, Rhode Island as the bulk of his family hails from and continues to reside in the Westerly/Stonington area.
